Lean System 7

By Elizabeth Myers, RD

Lean System 7 is a dietary supplement which claims to increase metabolic rate and loss of body fat when combined with a nutritious diet and exercise program, compared to diet and exercise alone. As the name implies, Lean System 7 includes 7 ingredients designed to stimulate weight loss.

Ingredients & How it Works

7-Keto is the ingredient which makes Lean System 7 unique. It's a "patented compound." The manufacturer, Isatori, claims it is an improvement in weight-loss supplementation because of its ability to promote safe fat loss. 7-Keto supposedly increases the metabolism of fat, without the stimulating effects of some other products. This can be beneficial for those who are sensitive to stimulants and/or for those who desire to supplement for longer periods of time. Ingredients include:

  • Guarana- enhances energy, endurance, and fat loss
  • Citrus aurantium- improves metabolism
  • Yerba Mate- improves mental and physical performance
  • Bioperene- enhances absorption of supplements
  • Dandelion- assists in digestion and reduces fluid accumulation in the body
  • Green Tea leaf extract- increases metabolism
  • 7-Keto is the proprietary ingredient contained in Lean System 7, more details above

Scientific Evidence? Trials?

Lean System 7 was studied in two small clinical trials. However, these studies were very small, the one that I found on Pubmed started with 47 participants dropped up to 19 pounds and lost up to 4.5 inches off their waist and hips. When combined with a reduced calorie diet and a moderate exercise program, the study also showed that Lean System 7 was more effective at reducing hip circumference than exercise and diet alone.
