Boosting Testosterone with Tribex

By Elizabeth Myers, RD

Tribex is a testosterone booster and is manufactured by Biotest. It claims to contain the strongest and highest quality of testosterone-boosting compounds available by including a unique extract of super-powerful herbs. The purpose is to stimulate the body to amplify its own testosterone levels without inhibiting the body’s own natural testosterone production to achieve massive gains in strength and muscle size, increase metabolism, and enhance sexual performance. Women are discouraged from using this product because of potentially unfavorable side effects.

Tribex sells for approximately $50 for a bottle of 74 pills, with the recommended dosage being 2-4 pills per day. It is recommended to take in a cycle of five days on and two days off per week, while allowing up to four weeks to attain full effects.

Product Claims

  • “The Original Blue Pill”
  • “The KING of Testosterone Boosters”
  • “NEW-Rapid Release Super-Concentrated Extracts”
  • "Rated #1 Tribulus In The World”
  • “The average user of Tribex can expect to put on between five and ten pounds of muscle within the first month or two, but much greater gains may be experienced by some.”

Active Ingredients and How it Works

Tribulus terrestris, Eurycoma longifolia, and Vitex agnus castus: herbs that stimulate testosterone production which increase metabolism, muscle strength and size, and enhance sexual characteristics and performance.

Scientific Evidence

Biotest states there have been studies conducted showing the effectiveness of these specific ingredients in clinical trials. However, none of these “studies” can stand up to any reliable scientific proof, meaning that they were put through double-blinded, placebo-controlled studies that provided reliable results that were free of partiality. While it may be true that this product is legal and drug-free, it is difficult to conclude that it is effective since there is not enough reliable research to prove this.

User Feedback

“I have tried every supp out there--Tribex has definitely earned its status as an important and mind-blowing supp right next to creatine. Gained 8 lbs in one month. VERY HAPPY.”

“Tribex is garbage... the only ineffective tribulus product I've used.”
